To me, one of the most important things when you are travelling is to involve yourself with the gastronomy of the place. Taste how it feels to be part of Valencia with my choice of authentic restaurants! In Valencia there are many areas where you can discover how to enjoy Spanish food. Valencia’s gastronomy is both traditional and modern: new chefs are trying to reinvent the traditional Valencian cuisine.  1. Casa Paquito: Great Menu del dia in the center  If you are visiting the city center at lunch time, head towards the Town Hall, them to the “Plaza de la Virgen”, walk past the Cathedral and “El barrio del Carmen” and walk until you find “Casa Paquito” situated in the heart of “El Carmen”. At “Casa Paquito” you can find a great homemade menu for 12€ only where you can choose from different kind of rice dishes (Paella, black rice…). More here

Valencia is a great holiday destination whether you are looking for a weekend getaway abroad or for a city worth visiting as part as a European and/or Spanish tour. Let me try to convince you to visit Valencia with this straight forward yet honest list of things Valencia has for you: an international airport, well served roads & trains, heritage, architecture, history, a port, a very long beach, gastronomy and good weather! Well, to me, that would be enough to start planning my next escape but, do you want to learn more about Valencia?
